A Luncheon in Winter Whites

Below are images from a luncheon to celebrate Laura's birthday.  This luncheon was coordinated by Miss Elizabeth James.  We used the hostess's silver julep cups as vessels to hold winter white flowers, which we lined down the center of the table.  We chose some of our favorite flowers for this occasion: peonies, tulips, anemones, ranunculus, star of bethlehem, and scabiosa.

When hosting a party in your home, it is important to add small touches of flowers in all of the rooms where guests will mingle. You will be surprised at how this small addition can dramatically change the ambiance in the room.  Come on, flowers just make you happy!!

This fabulous cake (yes, it's edible and delicious) was baked and detailed by Mrs. Billie Mochow.

Happy Birthday Laura!

A Touch of Fall

Caroline and Dustin were married at Woodmont Christian Church and their reception was at the historic Hermitage Hotel downtown.  Their happy day was coordinated by Samantha and Michelle at Firefly Events.  Follow the link to see their blog and more images of this fall wedding: Caroline + Dustin's Wedding.

Caroline and Dustin put a lighter twist on fall with peaches, greens, creams, and browns. Each arrangement is full of various textures and colors while still remaining simple and classic.

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Dowell!

Orchids in the Fall

Adam and Jennifer were married at 2nd Presbyterian Church on a crisp fall day.  Jennifer fully embraced fall colors, and we loved it!  She chose a cascading bouquet to hold while keeping her bridesmaid's simple and sweet.  Below are some images of other personal flowers.

We dressed up the church by placing fall swags on the large black sconces.

Jennifer and Adam's reception was at the Cannery Ballroom. The ladies at the Cannery really know how to dress this space to fit any occasion!

Jennifer chose our candelabras, iron trees, and lanterns to place at the center of her guest's tables.

This beautiful cake was baked by the fabulous Dulce Desserts.

Congratulations Adam and Jennifer!  What a beautiful night for a beautiful couple.

Oranges in the Fall

Annie and Reed were married at Covenant Presbyterian Church (one of my favorite churches in Nashville!). Annie loves vibrant oranges and reds which fit well with her late October wedding.  Thanks to Harmony Designs Photography for a couple images of the bride and groom!

Fall Coppers and Creams

This is a beautiful party at a beautiful house on a beautiful day, so lucky for you - we took pictures!  This event was coordinated by Dori Thornton Waller of the Social Office.  Dori always knows how to throw a great party! For the house flowers, we incorporated a few fall gourds and pumpkins amongst copper, green, and cream flowers. We drew inspiration for the colors from the client's home, the table linens, and the season.

Most of the party was spent around the pool and in the tent.

In this final picture, you can see our hand-painted votive candles at work!
